This workshop is designed to provide the didactic and practical components for the insertion, care and management of midline catheters. The didactic component will include a discussion of the advantages, disadvantages, indications and the insertion procedure for midline catheters. The care and maintenance of the midline catheter will be discussed along with the potential complications and strategies for its intervention and prevention. The practical component allows the participants to practice the placement of a midline on an anatomical model under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
